The custom-ordered dining room table has arrived and these homeowners are about to enjoy their first Thanksgiving with their family in their new kitchen. Alexis Solomon, Principal of MINT Design and IKAN kitchen designer consulted with this couple earlier this year. While they'd done minor updates to their kitchen since they moved into the then-new home in 1986, it was finally time for a major overhaul. They settled on dark greycabinets on the bottom and white on the top because all white would've been too bright during the sunny months in this south-facing room. Shades of grey walls complement the cabinetry, and the result is a striking, clean kitchen design. The beautiful white quartz counter was installed by Dax at Stone Trends Marble and Granite. IKAN installed these IKEA cabinets, including the two walls of floor-to-ceiling cabinets and the bathroom vanity in three days. We love the results, and we're thankful (get it?) this lovely coupledoes too.
