For a busy family, there is nothing like a spacious kitchen with room to gather and plenty of storage. So when it was time to renovate, these homeowners knew they want ceiling-height cabinets, lots of drawers, and theincredible IKEA interior organizers.
There was one thing they dreamed of but almost didn't even mention: an island. In their small space, they figured there was no way to make it work. But Christine, one of IKAN's kitchen designers, isn't one to balk at a challenge. She took measurements and assured the homeowner they could make it happen.Voila! Not only did they get an island, they now have a spacious one where they prep, eat and chat every day.
A calming colour palette evokes both the natural surroundings and a sense of peace (in an otherwise busy household).
Stainless steel appliances and fixtures keep things sparkly and sophisticated. The bar pulls add a modern touch to the white shaker cabinets (which are a timeless and versatile choice).
Drawers within drawers are just one of the many design features that maximize storage.
A beautiful range, backsplash and glass cabinets create a gorgeous focal point!
There's nothing like a sparkly, brand-spanking-new kitchen--but guess what, this kitchen was installed more than a year ago and there isn't a mark or scratch to prove that two kids, a golden retriever, or even a mechanic (who gets black grease on the cabinets) call this kitchen theirs.
