When we first met with Dennis and Sheilah they had just purchased a waterfront townhome in Sidney. They fell in love with the home but unfortunately it needed a complete overhaul, starting with the kitchen.With a desire to take advantage of the view, Sheilah’s vision was to extend the cabinetry from the kitchen into the breakfast nook overlooking the water. We suggested using IKEA's STÅT glass uppers in the eating area and were pleasantly surprised to have these cabinets reflect the water. This happy surprise turned out to be Sheilah’s favorite part of her new kitchen.The natural surroundings are echoed throughout the kitchen with glass mosaic tiles and granite countertops by BG Granite which reflect the greens, greys and blues of the Sidney harbor seen right outside Dennis and Sheilah's kitchen window.Note: That STÅT Glass product was part of IKEA's AKURUM kitchen range of products, which is no longer available. On February 2, 2015, and after 20 years of production, IKEA's entire AKURUM kitchen range was replaced with a new range called SEKTION.
