Joan came to IKAN with a desire to expand the kitchen in her 100 year old home to allow for entertaining. Her kitchen was small and very boxed in, as is common in older homes, so we presented her with design that included removing the wall between the dining room and kitchen to create a better space to entertain with room for seating. We used a limited number of upper cabinets to give the kitchen a light, open feeling and assisted Joan in sourcing countertops and finishes to compliment the style of her historic home. Some of our favourite elements are the white subway wall tiles and the black trim and range hood, what a striking contrast!
With RPC Construction acting as the general contractor and BG Granite providing the beautiful quartz countertops, IKAN had the pleasure of working on Joan's kitchen with a dream team. Joan is thrilled with her new kitchen and shared these kind words with us once her renovation and installation was complete: "Thank you so much Anthony and the IKAN team for designing and building a kitchen that reflected every item on my wish list ... it was a long one!" Our pleasure, Joan.
