The trend in wood flooring has been towards floors in mid-browns and darker greys for years, but for 2014 we're anticipating floors to lighten up. We've noticed light floors used in many of the kitchens by Canadian designers Sarah Richardson and Kelly Deck, and we think light floors are a lovely compliment to both light and dark cabinetry.
